Agricultural Libraries
Help SupportPhase Zero: Relevant Learning Materials + Renovated Rural Libraries
Agricultural curriculum that inspires action
A rural library changed William’s life. In partnership with Books for Africa, we are bringing more than 24,000 books to Kasungu, including agriculture-specific content, STEAM learning materials, Girl’s Empowerment text, and more—all selected in partnership with community members.
Our Community Hubs feature laptop computers pre-loaded with EndlessOS interactive software and programming that encourages learning by doing.
Our programming encourages out-of-school youth to return to learning spaces and use education as a powerful tool for transforming their lives by encouraging young people to act on the knowledge they gain.
Uplifting community-led initiatives
Moving Windmills plans to equip 5 new libraries and 8 existing libraries in Kasungu schools and community centers. These libraries will be empowered with thousands of relevant reading materials and upgraded shelving and furniture. Moving Windmills will also provide funds and training to librarians ensuring these resources benefit individuals for years to come.
This program rewards communities that have managed to maintain modest library collections with new investments and restored spaces. We work to incentivize community mobilization, empower librarians, and inspire future problem-solvers.
