Tonight we celebrated the launch of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind at a party hosted by Ruth Ann and Bill Harnisch of The Harnisch Foundation, and Tom Rielly of TED at Club Metropolitan in New York City. About 125 guests attended from many different walks of life, including friends of Bryan's, one of my classmates from African Leadership Academy, press, librarians, people from HarperCollins (our publishers) and folks from the TED Conference. One of the most exciting things about the night is that His Excellency Steve Dick Matenje, S.C., Malawian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations attended and stayed the entire party. He was incredibly nice and very interested in my work. I was so excited to meet him and we plan to be in touch again soon. I will post more about the event when I get more pictures later in the week.

I signed a book for His Excellency Steve Dick Matenje, S.C., Malawian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations. It was a great honor for me that he attended the event.
